Scrapbook Design

Move your cursor over the design to see the picture change!
I want to thank my super woman (can-do-anything-and-everything) mother-in-law. For sitting with me for hours figuring that feature out... Thank you Thank you!!!
More before and after pictures like this one to come!

This is an Older set of nails I did on my beautiful cousin Randilyn
I haven't had a clientelle for a while now, but I remember doing this set.
I remember when I very first figured out the "reverse application"
This set is a good example of when I finally started to 'get' it :)
The design is a scrap book rub on thingy... similar to this

Actually exactly this. Same brand even.
You can get rub ons like this at twopeasinabucket.com
A favorite digital scrap book site of mine. Or at any local scrapbook store.
Have fun Designing!

1/1/2011

This year is going to be great. This pic is just good karma. Hanging out with friends a little after watching the ball drop, I remember I wanted a midnight kiss picture! So I grabbed my phone and snapped this. When I went to see how the pic turned out I happened to notice the number at the top of my phone and how cool is that! I just snapped the first pic of the new year. Crazy the odds that I just took the 1,111 picture on my phone. (I take pictures of everything!) On the First day of January, 2011. Even though my battery life is at 48% I love you infinity plus 1.

New Goals...Not Resolutions

“Don’t waste your effort worrying about what you have not done.Spend your time working on what you now can do.It’s amazing how much you can accomplish when your heart is in it.Drop the doubts, self-criticisms, and anxieties, and positively put your heart into what you’re doing.Enjoy the delicious feeling of making real progress based on your own focused efforts.Have fun watching yourself accomplish as you complete each task.Taking effective, meaningful action will put you in a positive frame of mind. And that will open the door to many great new possibilities.Go beyond wondering about it, or thinking it through, or planning for it.Just go ahead and get it done.Choose your destiny and delight in the fulfilling effort that makes it happen. You can do it, and now is when.” -Ralph Marston-

I don't know why I dis-like resolutions. But I don't like them at all.
I would say hate, but thats a strong word.

I start this blog the day before the new year because it is NOT a new years resolution.
I know I am only a day ahead of the game but I have been wanting to do this for a while now. (I dream about a perfect blog all the time! Dreaming counts right?)

From this day on I will be dedicated to this blog stuff. Which I am no good at. But I will get better. And you can enjoy the ride with me. The quote is my inspiration. Because I find myself not doing things and holding myself back because its not perfect.
Well... I am not perfect, and I am NOT a perfect nail tech.
I try...and sometimes I think I am the best. I am not.
Either way I start this blog so you can learn. As I have learned and continue to learn and grow in the nail industry. The nail industry is something I am extremly passionate about. I am eager to end 2010 with a new beginning towards sharing this passion. New beginnings...not resolutions.

Love, Amanda
